The 32-year-old striker has been stunning on the pitch for over 15 years, though the former Kansas City Chiefs punter, 43, believes Kane would find success if he traded soccer for America football.
When the BBC asked Colquitt whether Kane could successfully transition to the NFL, he said: “Absolutely, if he focused on it. He would do fantastic. I've seen some of his finishing skills.
“I would love to actually work with him just because I love soccer, and his excitement. He's seeking this out - that's part of the fibre of his being, that he wants to try this NFL thing.”
Colquitt - who won the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020 - added he would be willing to serve as Kane’s holder if he was seriously interested in joining the NFL.
He said of Kane: “The guy that holds for those field goals, that is extremely important - knowing where the laces [on the ball] are, if you've got wind. So when he's ready, I'm ready.”
Kane had previously discussed his potential interest in making the switch to American football, though admitted doing so would be “a lot of hard work”.
He told talkSPORT: “I'm not expecting to just rock up and start kicking field goals. It would be a lot of practice.”
As of now, Kane has found success at Bayern Munich, and has helped the Bavarians to first place in the Bundesliga this season.
The striker - whose contract with Bayern lasts until 2027 - has said he is happy in Bavaria, and could “definitely” see himself staying longer.
Kane said: “In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that.
“I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.
“Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.”
