Ranieri unconcerned by Vardy troubles

The England international was the Foxes' topscorer last season as they lifted the Premier League title, netting 24 times in all competitions, but has struggled to replicate that kind of form.

It is now 11 games without a goal this term for Vardy but Ranieri says that is not an issue as far as he is concerned, claiming his all round play has been vital, the 29-year-old having played a key role in recent goals against Tottenham and FC Copenhagen.

"It is not important (that he is not scoring)," Ranieri told the Leicester Mercury.

"Last season, he scored 11 goals in a row. Sooner or later he will start to score.

"It is important if you think he made two great crosses, one against Copenhagen and one again at the weekend."
