Roberts has been linked with a move away from the Twickenham Stoop and Japan, which is the venue for the 2019 World Cup, has been touted as a potential destination.
New Zealand legend Dan Carter recently penned a deal with the Kobelco Steelers for next season and he could be joined at the Asian club by the Quins' 31-year-old centre.
Roberts told the Mail on Sunday: "Japan is certainly an option to explore and we'll see what comes of it. I definitely wouldn't rule it out. You've got to make your decisions for the right reasons and I'll make a decision over the next month or six weeks.
"I'd like to think I can play at the top level for a few years yet."
