March facing fitness fight for Cup semi

Brighton have concerns over the fitness of Solly March after he limped out of the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea on Wednesday night.

March left the field at Stamford Bridge with a calf issue and the Seagulls are hoping the fact he came off early, will have prevented something more serious developing.

Speaking after the game, Albion boss Chris Hughton admitted he hopes March can shake off the issue in time for Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

"Solly felt his calf tightening, so we're hoping that he came off at the right time," said Hughton.

"At this moment I haven't picked my team. It will have to be a team that I think can do the club justice and produce the best opportunity we have of getting something."

Chelsea's teenage England star Callum Hudson-Odoi celebrated his full Premier League debut as he kick-started Chelsea's win by teeing up Olivier Giroud.

Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek then dispatched fine second-half goals to push Chelsea up to fifth and leave Brighton looking over their shoulder at the drop zone.
