Arsenal have already infuriated his club Crystal Palace this week by making an offer of £40 million for a player they value at more than double that, and reports now claim they will go back with an improved bid.
Talk all summer has suggested that Arsenal have a limited transfer budget for this window, but Sky Sports say they have £70 million set aside for Zaha alone.
The £45 million transfer budget could be a smokescreen to help Arsenal when it comes to landing players at a good price and it seems as though there could be plenty more in the pot.
Zaha is said to be keen on joining the club he supported as a boy, but when quizzed about the rumours at the African Nations Cup, he said he is just focused on the Ivory Coast for now.
"I don't know we'll see in the future. I have no comment on it, the only thing that's on my mind now is trying to win this cup. What I'm fixated on is how far we go in the tournament," he said.
