The latest version of the phone, which is rumoured to feature 5G, a bigger battery, and improved cameras, is set to hit the market later this year, according to Lenovo's South Africa general manager Thibault Dousson.
Speaking on the Reframed Tech podcast, Dousson said: "There's a new iteration [of the Razr] coming out. From what I understand, there's one in September, I think, coming out. A whole new Razr."
He also later referenced the "generation two" foldable phone.
Dousson's remarks are significant as Lenovo is owned by Motorola.
The current Motorola Razr foldable was unveiled in February of this year but received criticism for its quality and price tag.
