The John F. Kennedy International Airport has topped Upgraded Points' poll of the best airports for passengers travelling with pets across America, with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport coming in second place and Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona in third.
JFK International Airport has a 4,000 square foot outdoor patio, with seating for up to 50 people, in Terminal 5 whilst there is a pet relief area located in Terminal 8, which gives pets a chance to mooch around the 1,000-square-foot patch of natural grass before or after their flights.
In Hartsfield-Jackson airport, there is a pet relief area in the arrivals of the International Terminal as well as a 1,000-square-foot dog park before security.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix-based airport is well catered to passengers with pets. There are no less than nine areas for pets, three of which are available to passengers post-security whilst Los Angeles International Airport also popular with pet owners because of its eight animal-relief stations.
Elsewhere in the top 10 is Minneapolis St.Paul International Airport, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, Denver International Airport and Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport.
