The Europa League winners have the chance to claim another piece of silverware on Wednesday (13.08.25) when they take on the Champions League winners in Udine, Italy, and the coach is looking forward to facing "probably the best team in the world" in his first competitive game in charge of Spurs.
Frank told TNT Sports: "We have a top opportunity against probably the best team in the world right now.
"And the beautiful thing in football [is] if you have two teams that are competing, there’s a good chance that you can compete in one game, and we will definitely be ready for that."
Frank's predecessor Ange Postecoglou lost his job in the summer as Spurs finished 17th following a woeful Premier League campaign and the manager is determined to make the club competitive on all fronts this term.
He said: "I am pretty sure that we will be competitive in one game.
"It’s more over 38 games, Premier League, Champions League, two cup tournaments… I think it’s also fair to say that in six years’ time, Tottenham haven’t been able to compete in all tournaments at the same time, so that’s the first step.
"We need to build something robust and strong and take it game by game."
Spurs defender Ben Davies won his first trophy in 11 years at the club with the Europa League last season and is eyeing more silverware at the start of this new campaign.
He said: "A game of this magnitude to kick it off is pretty special and it’s a real test.
"I think there’s an excitement within the group and that desire [to win a trophy] is there to do it again.
"I think we had a taste of it as a group. You could see what it meant and I think coming back in this year, there’s a real hunger to try and do something special again."
