How to combine multiple email accounts: Step-by-step

Getting started with the GMX Mail Collector is a piece of cake – with just a few simple steps, you’ll be accessing all your emails in one place. Here’s how:

• Log in to your GMX account then click on 'Settings'.
• Select 'Mail Collector' from the options.
• Enter the login details (address and password) of the email address you wish to import.
• Hit 'Save', and you’re done!

Editing or reconfiguring a Mail Collector mailbox you have already set up is also just as straightforward. Simply follow the first two steps above, click the wrench icon next to the Mail Collector address you wish to edit, and then you’ll be able to make the alterations you want. How it works: Migrating email accounts

With the help of Mail Collector, your GMX account essentially works like a central hub for all your email accounts, including those from other providers. Simply use Mail Collector to import these accounts into your GMX mailbox. Much like other email clients, such as Outlook or Thunderbird, Mail Collector accesses the emails via POP3.

Once the feature is set up and your desired email address has been imported, Mail Collector will forward any new messages sent to that address to your GMX mailbox. This is not just a highly convenient way to gather all your emails in one place, Mail Collector also gives you the power to actively manage and organise your multiple email accounts. For example, you can manually save retrieved emails in separate folders, or even choose which email account to use when sending messages. Better still, forwarded emails are subject to high-security standards, including SSL encryption and a spam filter.
