The Bournemouth midfielder was called up to the senior squad by Thomas Tuchel for the first time last year and is looking to make his debut during next month's international break as he pushes for a spot on the plane to North America.
Scott told FourFourTwo magazine: "The March camp is the one I've been looking at – in between it's all been about club football, focusing on that, then hopefully if I'm performing and playing well, I'll get that call-up again and get to make my debut.
"To go to the World Cup would be a massive honour, as it was to play in the Euros for England throughout the age groups.
"There are so many unbelievable players in the country and every one of them is competing to be on that plane, so it's just important that I stay focused.
"Playing at the World Cup would be a massive step up – hopefully if I continue to perform and do well in the next few months, I'll get my chance."
Scott explained that he can take inspiration from his stepsister Maya Le Tissier, who captains the Manchester United women's team and has represented the Lionesses.
He said: "I've seen how hard Maya has worked from a young age to get where she is now and I've been on that same sort of journey. She's made it – playing for the Lionesses, captaining Man United.
"They're big footsteps to follow in, but she's an inspiration because I can see the work she's put in, and it's paying off."
Scott added: "We keep in touch all the time – it's nice to have someone close to you who's in the same boots."
