The 18-year-old prodigy came back from 5-0 to win Premier League Darts Night Seven this week, notching up six legs to grab victory from the jaws of defeat in dramatic fashion.

He told Sky Sports: "I have no idea how I have done that.

"I got the first leg, had a bit of fun. Then I got my 180 but Gezzy had set up tops so I waved [the crowd] goodbye.

"The rest is history. I was gone. When Gerwyn Price was on tops... he doesn't usually miss.

"Absolutely [I thought I was gone]. I may as well have been off the stage. This is darts, things happen."

Littler has secured his spot behind current league leader Jonny Clayton, after picking up wins over Stephen Bunting and Michael van Gerwen before his final win.

He added: "Obviously, I have finished top the last two years and I want to do it again.

"Jonny and the start he has had, it is good to see I am in second but I am right behind him now and chasing."

Meanwhile, the teenager previously revealed he is looking to dominate on the oche for years to come.

Back in January, he told Sky Sports News: "I want to be remembered for the titles that I win, the nine-darters I hit and I want to put down a legacy here [at the World Championship].

"I want to win so many trophies. There's so many years left."

However, the world champion insists that he won't be changing either on or away from the oche.

Littler said: "I'm just me. As you see me outside darts, inside the darts, I'll never change.

"I won't change for anyone. This is how I am. Even my mum and dad from the first Worlds were saying to me, 'Just don't change anything, just be yourself', and that's how it's going to be."
