Former England goalkeeper Mary Earps has signed for London City Lionesses following two seasons in France.

The 33-year-old stopper - who previously played for Manchester United - will ply her trade in England again this season after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal to join the Women's Super League side.

She said of the Bromley-based club: "I feel the club aligns with what I stand for. I can't wait to get started and to get down to business.

"The club's values represent what I want to represent and they are passionate about what I want to achieve.

"All the conversations have been really positive and every time I spoke with the club I wanted to hear more."

London City Lionesses were only founded in 2019, by businesswomen Michele Kang, and Earps loves the club's vision.

She added: "The vision and ambition, including the new training facility, is incredible and I'm looking forward to seeing that develop.

"It shows what our owner Michele [Kang] and everyone at the club want to do in terms of really going for it.

"It's about putting a marker down and saying we want to be competitive in a short space of time."

Earps has signed for the Lionesses after departing Paris Saint-Germain, following two seasons at the French club.

She kept 12 clean sheets for PSG last season, but they failed in their title challenge.

PSG finished third in the table, 13 points behind champions Lyon.

Earps - who has twice won the FIFA Best Goalkeeper of the Year prize - left the French capital club after her contract expired.

London City finished sixth in the WSL last season, and Earps is hoping to help the team to improve on that in the upcoming campaign.

The shot stopper added: "I feel I still have so much left to give to the game and that's exactly why I chose London City.

"It won't be easy - the WSL is extremely competitive.

"The team had a brilliant 2025-26 season finishing mid-table in their first season, now it's about climbing the table and working towards finishing as high as possible."
