The 36-year-old midfielder suffered a freak injury after the Three Lions' 3-2 win over Mexico in the World Cup last-16, when he tried to hurdle the hoardings as the team celebrated their victory.
Henderson landed awkwardly on his arm and was forced to leave the field on a stretch, and he is expected to have surgery on his wrist.
Now, BBC Sport has reported that England manager Thomas Tuchel is expected to try and avoid a repeat incident by instructing his players to avoid jumping over the hoardings.
After the win over Mexico at the Azteca Stadium, Tuchel told BBC One: "Jordan just fell over and injured his wrist. It looks really bad.
"It's quite a serious injury and it doesn't fit to the evening that Jordan is now not with us. The doctor told me he is in hospital."
Henderson was accompanied by one of the national side's medical staff, and he stayed in hospital on Sunday evening (05.07.26) while the rest of the squad returned from Mexico to their Kansas City base.
Although the Brentford veteran wasn't expected to play much of a role in the England team as the tournament goes on, it's another headache for Tuchel as his options are more limited for Saturday's (11.07.26) quarter final clash with Norway.
Jarell Quansah will miss the game after receiving a red card against Mexico, while Reece James has been out for the last three games with a hamstring injury.
In the aftermath of the game, Henderson broke his silence on social media, but chose to focus on the England team rather than his injury.
He wrote on Instagram: "A night to remember that's for sure!
"What an incredible performance against all the different challenges. So proud to be a part of this special team.
"Thanks for all the support, another big one Saturday."
Elliot Anderson and Djed Spence appeared in the comments posting heart emojis, while Three Lions vice-captain Declan Rice wrote: "Some man."
Morgan Rogers added: "What a guy."
Meanwhile, England defender Marc Guehi later gave an update on Henderson's state of mind after the accident.
Appearing on the FA’s Lions’ Den show, he said: “Hendo's good, man.
"Hendo's in a better place than he was yesterday, and it was obviously scary for him and his family and for everyone else, but we're just glad that he's on the road to speedy recovery.”
