Morgan hails unsung hero Okazaki

The Foxes have plenty of options up front with Jamie Vardy, Islam Slimani, Leonardo Ulloa and Okazaki all in contention for a place in Ranieri's side.

Okazaki has largely had to settle for a place on the bench so far this season, despite scoring five goals last season to help his side win the title, but Morgan is under no doubt just how important the Japan international is.

The centre-back says the 30-year-old offers something different in the final third and his work-rate means he is an invaluable member of the first-team squad.

Morgan was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror: "Shinji is so important because he gives 100 per cent all the time and the role he plays is unique."

Okazaki has made nine appearances in all competitions for City so far this season, with four of those starts in the Premier League, while he's scored one goal so far - against Crystal Palace in the 3-1 win over them on Saturday.
