The Eagles have endured a disastrous start to the campaign, losing all seven of their outings in a run that has seen Frank de Boer depart and Roy Hodgson brought in.
With no goals in that time, Palace already look in grave danger but new boss Hodgson now has a fortnight to work on their shape ahead of his side's clash with Chelsea on October 14.
Delaney admits his side's opening run of fixtures has not helped their cause but is adamant that they can turn things around with the required amount of work on the training ground.
"The run of games we have had is not ideal but we have had tougher mountains to climb at this football club in the past," he said. "First and foremost we must get back on the training ground and get ourselves prepared for the challenge ahead."
