Daniel Sturridge on Rossoneri radar

Reports in Italy claim AC Milan could make a January move for Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge is behind Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah in the pecking order at Anfield and has managed just four starts in the Premier League so far this season.

Italy's Calciomercato has now claimed the Rossoneri could launch a bid for the forward in January, and reports earlier this week suggested Sturridge may well be open to a move when the winter window opens in order to give himself the best possible chance of being included in England's World Cup 2018 squad.

Milan spent big in the summer to overhaul their squad and as such it has been suggested funds could be tight in the new year, meaning they may struggle to sign Sturridge outright and could make a loan offer with a view to a potential permanent deal.

If it becomes clear Liverpool are open to offers Sturridge is likely to have a few options as Premier League rivals West Ham and Newcastle have also been mooted as possible suitors by various sources of late.
