Daniel Sturridge pushing for La Liga switch

Daniel Sturridge wants to join Spanish outfit Sevilla on loan, but Liverpool are only willing to do a permanent deal.

Sturridge is desperate to play first-team football with the World Cup fast approaching, but his chances of getting it at Anfield remain slim after he slipped down the pecking order.

Dominic Solanke is said to have jumped ahead of him and a move away could be the only way for him to play his way back into the thoughts of England boss Gareth Southgate ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

West Ham and Southampton are reported to have shown an interest, but so have La Liga outfit Sevilla, and reports claim the striker would prefer to head to Spain, and has told Liverpool officials that.

However Sevilla are only said to be interested in a loan deal for the rest of the campaign, while Liverpool are only interested in selling for a fee in the region of £25million.

Sturridge is hoping Liverpool back down, but that seems unlikely as they would use the money from a permanent deal to bring in a replacement.
