Ibe is currently in his second season at the Vitality Stadium, having made the switch from Liverpool in the summer of 2016 for £15m.
His first season was underwhelming, with 13 starts in 25 appearances but no goals or assists to show for his efforts and his future on the south coast was thrown into doubt.
However the 22-year-old has responded well this term to make 19 starts from 28 Premier League outings, with two goals and six assists to his name already.
The former England Under-21 ace is now starting to justify the faith shown in him by the Cherries' management and Howe feels he is heading in the right direction.
"Jordon is in a good place. His numbers this season have been good. He has got on the scoresheet a couple of times in big games," he told the Daily Echo.
"His assist numbers have been very high. He is producing the numbers and has shown his promise of last season has developed further.
"I think if he continues to develop in the future, we will have a very good player on our hands."
