Courtois refuses to comment on Blues future speculation

Thibaut Courtois refused to dicuss his future at Chelsea and said he is fully focused on Saturday's FA Cup final.

The Belgium international goalkeeper, who joined the Blues from Genk in 2011 and then spent three seasons on loan with Atletico Madrid, is out of contract in June 2019 and - if he does not extend his deal - the Londoners may opt to sell.

Courtois is reportedly admired by Real Madrid, but he declined to answer questions on the possibility of making a return to the Spanish capital.

"There's nothing I want to comment now," he said.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old insists that Chelsea's disappointing end to the Premier League season will not have an effect on them going into the Wembley showdown against Manchester United.

A 3-0 loss at Newcastle on Sunday extinguished slim hopes of Champions League qualification as the Blues finished fifth in the table.

Chelsea are now seeking to claim a trophy in what could be Antonio Conte's final match as head coach, if speculation is to be believed that the Italian is poised to depart this summer.

"The confidence is all right," Courtois added. "It was not a good performance from us. We've showed we can bounce back the game after.

"This is a different cup, different to the Premier League and we just have to go for it.

"That's most important. After a season of ups and downs, we can finish on an up."
