The Toffees' goalkeeper is in a fight with Jack Butland and Nick Pope to be the England number one in Russia next month and he is away with the rest of the squad preparing for the finals.
The 24-year-old is aware that the possibility of a penalty shootout is always around the corner and England's record is poor in that department, with six defeats in seven shoot outs.
Pickford says he is ready to not only try and keep them out but also score one if necessary.
"If I need to step up, I'll take one. I've got no issue with that,' said the 24-year-old at England's St George's Park training ground.
"Taking the [winning] penalty or saving one, I'll be happy either way. I've never taken one in a shootout but I'm always practising in training."
