Chelsea could land Zidane and keep Hazard happy

Chelsea are targeting a move for Zinedine Zidane as the pressure mounts on under-fire boss Maurizio Sarri, reports claim.

The Italian is feeling the heat after Chelsea suffered a humiliating 6-0 defeat against Manchester City at the weekend, and reports claim that the Blues hierarchy are already making plans to replace him.

Legendary Frenchman Zidane is now said to be top of their wanted list and a move could be straight forward considering he is out of work after leaving his position at Real Madrid at the end of last season.

Zidane guided Real to three straight Champions League titles before resigning in the summer and his arrival could also play a huge part in convincing Eden Hazard to stay.

The midfielder is said to be leaning towards a move to Real at the end of the season, rather than pen a new deal at Stamford Bridge, but the arrival of Zidane could change his mind.

Hazard is a huge admirer of Zidane, and his appointment would not only mean Chelsea landing a top quality coach, but they could get to keep Hazard as well.

Chelsea could have to move quickly though as Manchester United are also said to be in the hunt should they opt against keeping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge.
