The 36-year-old actor - best known for playing The Mountain in Game of Thrones - has shared exclusive gameplay footage of Valhalla, a new blockchain-based MMORPG developed by crypto brand Floki that has launched today (30.06.25).
Broadcast on his Twitch channel, Bjornsson’s stream showed off the game’s hex-grid combat, Norse-inspired setting, and NFT-based creatures called Veras.
Players can level up their characters, earn digital rewards, and trade in-game items through blockchain mechanics.
Pedro Vidal, Community Relations Officer at Floki, said in a statement: “Players deserve more than gimmicks. We’re aiming to build something that rewards skill and time with meaningful experiences and assets.”
Valhalla has been in development for three years and represents Floki’s pivot from meme coin to gaming brand. It runs as a browser-based RPG and features turn-based combat, land ownership, and player-driven economies.
To support the full release, Floki is launching multi-million dollar in-game reward campaigns and has partnered with e-sports group Method - known for its World of Warcraft roots.
Method will promote the game across events and feature Valhalla branding on its official jersey until 2026.
Valhalla is now live on the Optimism mainnet and accessible via browser. Floki plans to expand its player base through upcoming media content, influencer tie-ins, and Web3 tournaments.
