In a statement shared on its blog, the company said it would “continue to focus on fulfilling orders in the US while we re‑evaluate our approach to international availability,” signalling that global customers may be waiting longer than expected to get their hands on the device.
The glasses have proven difficult to obtain since their US debut. They aren’t available to purchase online and can only be bought through a small number of physical retailers, including select Ray‑Ban, Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters and Best Buy stores. Even then, customers can’t simply walk in and buy a pair — Meta requires shoppers to book an in‑store demo appointment through its website before making a purchase.
That scarcity was foreshadowed ahead of launch, when Meta reported “strong” demand for demo bookings, with many locations filled up weeks in advance. With the company now prioritising US orders, international fans may be facing an extended wait before the Ray‑Ban Display glasses make their way overseas.
