Bensons For Beds has released its first ever Sleep Forecast to help people in the UK figure out why they're being kept awake at night.
The new digital tool will combine personal habits with live data including traffic, weather, and both local and national headlines to predict your night of sleep.
As part of the launch, new research from Bensons has found that 81 percent of Brits would choose a perfect night's sleep over a romp with their partner, while 75 percent would choose sleep over £1,000.
Lisa Richards, Head of Marketing at Bensons for Beds, said: “After the weather, sleep is one of the top three things Brits like to complain about, yet there’s never been a way to forecast a good night’s sleep.
"That’s why our sleep-obsessed team have created the Sleep Forecast, the UK’s first national forecast designed to help people understand the external factors in their area that could impact their rest.
"From storms and heat to pollution and noisy local events, the Sleep Forecast helps people make sense of what’s going on around them, while our expert teams in store are always on hand to help customers find the mattresses, beds and pillows best suited to whatever their forecast might predict.”
Meanwhile, sleep expert James Wilson - AKA The Sleep Geek - has also backed the campaign and new tool.
He added: "Sleep isn’t just about what mattress you’re on, it’s shaped by what’s happening around you and inside your head.
"Things like stress, temperature, light, noise and even the day’s news can all nudge sleep in the right or wrong direction.
"Bensons for Beds Sleep Forecast helps people understand those influences, so instead of blaming themselves for a bad night, they can make small, realistic changes that genuinely improve sleep over time.”
