The South Korean company unveiled their new product - which can be folded away to create more space in a living space - at the CES press conference on Monday (07.01.19), and revealed it will be sent to market within the next 12 months in South Korea.
LG said it "liberates users from the limitations of the wall and frees them to curate their own personal space which no longer needs to be reserved full time for TV viewing."
David VanderWaal, Senior Vice president of Marketing at LG in the US, continued: "LG's rollable OLED TV goes beyond what a TV could traditionally offer.
"It brings the freedom of design to the space, without the limitations of a wall. This offers a never before achieved level of immersion."
There were questions over the durability of the product, but Han Sang-beom, Vice Chairman of LG Display, reassured attendees that the product is strong enough to be rolled out "100,000 times".
He said: "We are so confident that there will be no durability issues of the rollable TV because it was durable enough to be rolled 100,000 times through our test."
