The park - located in Anaheim, California - confirmed that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland will shut on 2 September, with no reopening date yet announced.
The popular runaway mine train coaster is one of the park’s signature rides and its absence is expected to affect visitor flow in the area.
Meanwhile, Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island will close from 15 to 18 September for maintenance.
The walk-through attraction, accessible by raft, features caves, trails and themed set pieces inspired by Mark Twain’s stories.
In Fantasyland, Dumbo the Flying Elephant will be closed from 16 to 18 September.
The family-friendly spinner ride is a long-time staple of the park, offering guests views over the land from its colourful flying elephants.
These closures join a list of existing refurbishments and seasonal updates taking place at Disneyland in the coming months.
Other projects include the temporary closure of Star Tours - The Adventures Continue, routine seasonal changes to Haunted Mansion for its Halloween overlay, and work on Fantasyland attractions such as the Storybook Land Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train.
The timing of the new ride closures coincides with the park’s transition into its Halloween season, suggesting the work may be linked to seasonal preparations as well as regular upkeep.
Disneyland has not confirmed whether the closures will involve any major updates or new features.
Guests planning visits in September are advised to check the official Disneyland app or website for the latest refurbishment information to avoid disappointment.
