Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez wants to fight in England

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez dreams of fighting in England.

The Mexican boxer is considered to be one of the sport's best and has expressed a desire to fight on English soil having only ever competed in the United States or his native country.

Alvarez said: "I will love to fight in England.

"For me it's a dream going to England and fighting in front of a lot of people from England. I have a lot of fans from there and I will love to be there."

Alvarez faces Billy Joe Saunders to decide who will become the undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world but he insists that his motivation will not be dimmed should he claim title glory.

He said: "There will also always be something that motivates me. Right now I do want to win all of the titles, but after that there will always be some motivation.

"I love boxing. I love what I do. I always set short-term goals in my mind and for now I am fully focused on this one."

Alvarez hasn't lost a fight since he was beaten by the legendary Floyd Mayweather in 2013 and believes that the loss taught him valuable lessons in how to approach bouts.

He said: "I understand that mentality is the most important thing, mindset.

"I understood also that a defeat is not derailing from my main goal, which is to become the best fighter in the world.

"Sometimes we think we are ready to do certain things when we are not. That applies professionally in other areas of life and it happened, but my mind is set on becoming the best fighter in the world. That's still there."
