The prolific striker hit four goals as City beat Wolves 5-1 at the weekend to stay a point behind leaders Arsenal in the battle for the crown and Haaland says that his team will not let up in their bid for a historic fourth championship in a row.

The forward said: "It was a great game. It was important win, obviously, and fantastic to score four goals.

"It was a difficult game. They can play football so it was not easy but we were solid and we’re on a mission.

"Now focus on the next one. I’m confident but we have to keep going, we have to push and focus."

City will claim the title if they win their last three games and manager Pep Guardiola says there can be no room for error as he does not expect Arsenal to slip up in the two fixtures they have left.

The coach said: “If we win the games we will be champions, so the players know it, feel it, and have the experience of doing it in the past. But they have to do it again.

“It’s going to be easy? No. It’s in our hands but everyone knows you cannot make one little mistake because you will lose the Premier League. They know it, we know it.

“You see their level of consistency since the winter break, the way they are playing. It’s not the fact that they are winning, it’s the way they play.

“You smell that they are not going to lose in the games they have left. They are not going to.”
