The 39-year-old boxer – who has eight children with four women – has a “beautiful” family life and has learned as much from his offspring as he has been able to teach them.
He told Boxing News magazine: “My family life is beautiful, it’s a beautiful picture.
“I’ve got all my children except for one and I’m looking forward to having her back.
“No matter what people may hear, I’m one of the best dads in the world.
“I’ve got beautiful people around me, a beautiful woman in my life, and things are great.
“I love interacting with my children and seeing what their outlook on life is like.
“I’ll learn from them, as young adults growing up in the world, the same way that they learn from me.”
Deontay believes children appreciate spending quality time with their families far more than money or material possessions.
He added: “It’s a beautiful thing, spending time with your children.
“You can always spend money on them, but they’ll never know the true value of it.
“You could give a child $100 and they’ll just drop it on the floor. But the time that you spend with them is valuable.
“Kids will have genuine love for you – there’s no hiding, no faking, and no betrayal.
“That’s why my kids are some of my best friends.”
