The former Match of the Day host, 60, has revealed he believes The Gunners will take the glory from Liverpool following Arsenal’s strong start to the season.
Speaking with talkSPORT, Lineker said: “I thought Liverpool at the start of the season, and now, I am swaying towards Arsenal. I think it will be one of them.”
However, Alan Shearer, 55, is still leaning towards The Reds taking home the silverware this season.
He said: “I said Liverpool, and there has only been seven or eight games. Ask me after 12 games, and I might change my mind and say Arsenal.”
The Gunners have started the season well, and are currently at the top of the table with 16 points.
Arsenal last played West Ham on Saturday (04.10.25), where they bested The Hammers 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Defender Declan Rice, 26, had scored the first goal in the 38th minute, before Bukayo Saka, 24, took a penalty in the second half.
The game marked Saka’s 200th Premier League appearance, and the winger was “very proud” of this achievement.
He said after the match: “There's a lot to celebrate - a beautiful win, another goal and 200 [Premier League] appearances as well. So, happy days.
“I'm very proud, I don't take these moments for granted, especially the last few months when I've had to miss games and watch from the stands as I've been injured. I'm going to enjoy it tonight and come back after the break ready to go again.
“I just want to give my best, give my best for my teammates and try and push this club to win.”
Saka added he wanted to keep building his fitness up to prepare for his England World Cup Qualifiers games in the coming weeks.
He said: “I'm feeling good that I've got the 90 minutes out of the way now. Towards the end, I'm a bit tired if I'm honest, but that's normal.
“But, yeah, I'm happy to get the 90 minutes in my legs and get a win and go away to England, because I've had to miss a lot of games for the national team too. So, I'm happy to be back there.
“We've had some really tough fixtures, some tough away fixtures. But I think we can be happy with what we have now going into the break, and we're in a strong position to come back and push on to the end of the season.”
