The Slovenian goalkeeper has spent more than a decade with Los Rojiblancos and has remained loyal to the La Liga club because he wants to help them win Europe's biggest title for the first time.
Oblak – who played in Atletico's penalty shootout defeat to local rivals Real Madrid in the 2016 final – told World Soccer magazine: "It's unbelievable that so many years have already passed.
"Of course there were offers, but in the end we never decided to go for a change because I always had the feeling that I still could give something more to Atletico.
"I always aimed for winning the Champions League, and it's still my big wish to help the club win it for the first time. I still have that hope and the strength and energy to try to achieve that big goal.
"A lot of things must click for this to happen, but each year I believe in it and each year I'm ready to give everything in order to help Atletico win that title which I believe it deserves to win. That was one of the reasons why I never chose to leave."
Oblak is contracted at Atletico until 2028 but has not given his future any consideration beyond then.
He said: "To be honest, I never think too much about when my contract is going to expire.
"From the beginning until today, I've always taken things season by season, with the wish to do the best for the team, for the club, with the wish to try to win all titles. It's the same this year.
"I really do not think a lot about the future. Also, as we know, it's not only us, the players, who make choices – it's also up to the club."
