Dominic Calvert-Lewin 'feeling good'

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is "feeling good" about his recent form.

The 28-year-old striker signed for Leeds from Everton in the summer and has enjoyed a run of seven goals in six games, making him the leading English scorer in the Premier League this season, and after hitting the back of the net in his side's 1-1 draw against Sunderland on Sunday (28.12.25) he reflected on how well he is enjoying life on the pitch.

Noting his previous season best was 21 goals for Everton in the 2020-21 season, he told Match of the Day: "That was a long time ago.

"I've been through a lot since then. Lots of ups and lots of downs. A test of character and I've hung in there and kept going and kept pushing. I've backed myself and here I am now.

"It's always a good feeling to be scoring regularly. I'm in a good moment at the minute. My timing is good.

"I'm feeling good, feeling strong and I'm enjoying playing with the lads."

Leeds boss Daniel Farke insisted he isn't surprised by his new signing's run of form because he thinks Dominic is "one of the best strikers" in the Premier League.

He said: "He deserves all the praise. He is in record form and long may it continue.

"It's his job, he should score the goals, but I would also always back him to be there. I was not surprised by this run because for me he is one of the best strikers in this league and he shows this quality more or less in each and every game."
