The former England cricketer is overwhelmed by the viewing figures for The Switch and he is having a “lot of fun” with the sporting content, which has recently included Jos Buttler catching a cricket ball dropped from a drone 122 metres about ground, and Yashasvi Jaiswal challenged to score 100 runs from 50 balls, with each thrown 1mph faster than the previous effort.
He told Telegraph Sport: “Honestly, I’m my own boss, and it’s fantastic.
“The success of it has been phenomenal. I got the updated numbers the other day. For a start-up, we’re already doing hundreds of millions of views.
“We’re the No 1 athlete-led YouTube channel. We’re killing all of the biggest channels in the world, and we’re just having a lot of fun with it.”
But Kevin insisted he doesn’t feel competitive about drawing higher ratings than his rivals.
He said: “Not at all. We’re staying in our lane and we’re just glorifying athletes. I’ve had seven of the biggest names in the sport get in touch and ask if they can come on the show.”
When he isn’t working on content, Kevin – who has two children with pop star wife Jessica Taylor – enjoys playing golf with fellow sporting legends Sir Andy Murray and Gareth Bale.
He said: “We’re all on a similar level.
“On any given day, one of us might shoot 68.”
