The 50-year-old golfer’s career highlight was his 2006 victory in the tournament over Phil Mickelson and he admitted he always “feels better” about his game by watching himself in action at Troon.
He told Today’s Golfer magazine: “It’s clearly the highlight of my career, the way it turned out and the battle I was in with Phil Mickelson.
“Because it turned into a bit of a classic, I get reminded of it fairly frequently.
“Standing there Sunday morning, you’d take a 71 and the Claret jug. But to put in that performance, that was the icing on the cake.
“If I’m struggling, it’s never a bad thing to jump on YouTube and watch a few shots from that Sunday.
“You feel a bit better about yourself and can pick up little things like set-up, takeaway, small details.
“It’s a good one to go back to if I need to see some good swings and good strikes.”
Despite his advancing years, Henrik still thinks he is a “competitor” in major tournaments, though he doesn’t practice as much as he used to.
Asked if he still believes he can contend for the biggest events, he said: “Yeah, absolutely. I feel like I still have a good enough game if I put it together.
“At The Open last year at Portrush, I was sniffing around the top 10 even without my best game.
“I’m not practicing like I did 20 years ago, so it’s about working smarter now.
“But I’m still a competitor. That doesn’t go away.”
