Bowen looks to keep Tigers place

The 19-year-old made his first Premier League appearance when he came off the bench against Watford at the weekend and is hoping to keep his place against Saints.

Injuries to Adama Diomande and Dieumerci Mbokani have handed the youngster his chance and he is determined to grab it with both hands by staying in the plans of Mike Phelan.

Bowen was unable to change the game against the Hornet as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat, but hopes to make an impact if given a chance this weekend.

"It was an annoying way to lose the game with an own goal (from Michael Dawson) but to make my debut in the Premier League was what I've dreamed of since I was a little kid," said Bowen.

"All my family and friends were emotional and proud. It was massive for me but now I just want to build on it and kick on. All I can do is to look to train well and play well every day, do things right off the pitch and hopefully get noticed.

"I'll be patient and wait for my chance but then look to be confident and do what you're good at to make sure you get another one."
