Seagulls wait on Tomer Hemed

Brighton are hopeful Tomer Hemed will be fit to face West Brom this weekend, despite missing out for Israel on Tuesday night.

Alarm bells were sounding after Hemed was forced to miss Israel's World Cup qualifier against Italy with a reported thigh strain, however it is not thought to be serious.

Thankfully for Chris Hughton, it looks as though Hemed was just left out as a precaution, and he should be fit to take his place in the side that faces the Baggies.

The Seagulls medical staff will do their own tests on his return, but reports coming out of the Amex Stadium suggest he will be fit to play this weekend.

Hemed is Brighton's only fit striker as Sam Baldock and Glenn Murray both have knocks, although there is an outside chance the latter may have overcome an ankle injury in time to face Tony Pulis' men.
