Davy Klaassen keen for action

Everton summer signing Davy Klaassen says it is time for the players at the club to "show what they can do".

It has been a desperately disappointing start to the season for Ronald Koeman's side, who sit in 16th place in the Premier League despite a summer spending spree.

Klaassen, who has missed the last two Premier League games, is expected to be back for the Europa League clash with Lyon on Thursday and the former Ajax skipper is keen to feature.

"I am eager to play, of course - against these types of teams and former team-mates, you really want to play," Klaassen told the club's website.

"We knew we had a difficult start with a few tough games - but now is the time to win games and show what we can do."

Everton sit bottom of Group E, with just one point from their opening two Europa League games.
