Cherries enter Theo Walcott race

Bournemouth have entered the battle with Everton and rivals Southampton to sign Arsenal forward Theo Walcott.

The Toffees are thought to be the frontrunners to land the England international this month but 28-year-old does have the option to return to his former club Southampton.

However, Bournemouth are believed to have approached Arsenal over a potential loan deal that would see Walcott go to the Vitality Stadium for the remainder of the season.

Walcott came on as a substitute in Arsenal's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Bournemouth on Sunday and Cherries boss Eddie Howe will be hoping to see more of the Three Lions winger at the Vitality for the remainder of the campaign.
