Boss Jose Mourinho has revealed he is yet to hear from the Swedish striker over his current thinking, with regards making a possible lucrative summer move to play Major League Soccer in America.
The 36-year-old is reportedly tempted by wages of £500,000-per-week at LA Galaxy and the former Paris Saint-Germain star certainly favours making the switch to the West Coast, where he and his family have enjoyed numerous holidays in recent times.
The giant hit-man is in the last year of his contract and there is no indication United will want to offer him another 12-month deal.
It is understood Ibrahimovic's influential agent Mino Raiola is expected in Manchester next week and that would seem to be the opportune moment to bring their plans to the forefront.
United officials have tremendous respect for Ibra and Mourinho confessed earlier this week: "If Zlatan wants a future in another country then I help and create conditions for that to happen to not make his life difficult."
Ibrahimovic is currently working on building up his fitness levels and is expected to rejoin the main group in training in the next few days.
