Seagulls in good place says Dale Stephens

Dale Stephens claims the Brighton squad are 'in a good place' ahead of Saturday's big game against Swansea at the Amex Stadium.

The Seagulls go into the Premier League showdown without a defeat in five matches in all competitions to sit in 14th position, two points clear of the relegation places.

Swansea sit one point and two places below them but have lost just one league game in seven since Carlos Carvalhal took charge at the Liberty Stadium.

It looks set to be difficult test for Brighton but Stephens is adamant the players are confident of picking up another vital three points.

The 28-year-old midfielder told the Brighton and Hove Independent: "Swansea is another big game. We're in a good place performance confidence-wise after a couple of good results and we're excited for the game.

"We've got good numbers now. It's something the club wanted and the manager wanted over the January period. We've got that, so we've got no excuses anymore. We want to finish the season strongly."
