According to reports in Brazil, German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have already made contact with Chelsea over the signing of the former Newcastle United loan star and want to sign the attacking midfielder, who can also play at left-back.
Kenedy impressed during the second half of last season at St James' Park, where he scored two goals in 13 starts and seven substitute appearances, as the Magpies beat the drop.
Emery has this past week praised the quality of the squad he has inherited at the club but would still like to put his own mark on the side with new additions but he may have to get a move on if he is to land Kenedy.
Newcastle were expected to make a move for the player this summer, with Chelsea rumoured to be preparing to cash in.
Bayern Munich were reportedly interested in the 22-year-old, who has a contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2020, but Leipzig are now contenders.
Chelsea signed him from Brazilian club Fluminense for £6million in 2015 and can expect to potentially double their money on the youngster.
