Klopp: Spurs can replace Alli and Lloris

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp doesn't believe there is ever a good time to be playing Tottenham ahead of Saturday's visit to Wembley.

The Reds have made a flying start to the season and are currently top of the Premier League table after taking maximum points from their first four matches.

They face their toughest test of the campaign so far this weekend though when they take on Tottenham, who thrashed the Merseysiders 4-1 in this same fixture last season and have already won at Manchester United.

Spurs have a few issues heading into the encounter with goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli both ruled out through injury, while questions have been asked as to whether star striker Harry Kane is fatigued.

Klopp is not buying that suggestion though and says the England international will be leading a strong Tottenham side who can cope without Lloris and Alli.

When asked about Kane's fitness, Klopp said: 'It's not that he's not in good shape. It's only that he's that highest level striker, people think I'm not sure, 'Is that the Harry Kane from last season?'. We are all not sure yet the people from last season.

'We bring together all these players and form a team from that and it's difficult. You need time for that. But you get tested every week or every three days.

'You go through the line-up of Tottenham and realise they can replace even Alli, Lloris. That's how it is. They have a very good squad and they are all used to different situations.

'They will be a really strong side and no I don't think it's the perfect time to play Tottenham.'

Klopp says he has all of his players who went on international duty available to him and the Reds could be worth backing with a free bet to get the better of Spurs on Saturday.
