Real Madrid ace to join Gunners despite Asensio injury

As initially feared, Asensio is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury in the clash with the Gunners on Tuesday, but thankfully for Unai Emery, it will not affect his swoop for Ceballos. It was suggested that Real would keep hold of Ceballos as he may be needed, but reports now say that Los Blancos have told their Gunners counterparts that the deal will still go ahead. The Spain under-21 international is now set to join Arsenal on a season-long loan deal, but there is no option to buy him at the end of the spell as he could still have a future at the Bernabeu. It has been suggested that Ceballos has already undergone a medical and has been shown around the club's training facilities, with the deal set to be announced anytime now. It could be a double unveiling as Arsenal could also announce the capture of defender William Saliba, who will be loaned back to Saint-Etienne for next season.
