The gay men's dating app has now installed a 'Right Now' feature that displays a a stream of posts with text as well as photos of users for a single hour.
AJ Balance, the chief product officer at Grindr, said: "This has been designed to help people find exactly what they want, when they want it – without the guesswork.
"We built this intention-based feature based on feedback from our community so they can connect with like-minded people without wasting time on mismatched expectations."
The tech boss also noted that the reaction to the new feature went so well that they "accelerated" it globally ahead of time because it became apparent just how much their users wanted it.
He said: "The response to our initial March launch was so strong we accelerated the global rollout ahead of schedule because it’s clear people want this… well, right now."
