According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung has finalised plans for a wider international release of the TriFold device, which first made its debut at Galaxy Unpacked earlier this year as a limited concept showcase.
The new phone - featuring three connected display panels that unfold into a tablet-sized screen - will now supposedly be made available in key markets across North America, Europe, and Asia in October.
Industry insiders claim Samsung is positioning the Galaxy Z TriFold as its new flagship foldable, sitting above the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip series.
The device uses a “multi-axis” hinge design that allows it to fold both inwards and outwards, switching seamlessly between smartphone, tablet, and compact modes.
When fully unfolded, users are presented with a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED display, reportedly capable of running at up to 120Hz with HDR10+ support.
Sources also suggest the TriFold will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, paired with at least 256GB of storage.
The device is expected to run Samsung’s Android 16-based One UI 8, and receive at least seven years of major Android software updates.
Samsung has been teasing new foldable concepts for years, but the TriFold’s global rollout could signal that the company believes the technology is finally ready for mainstream adoption.
Analysts say the launch comes as rivals like Huawei, Xiaomi, and Honor continue to test multi-fold designs of their own, intensifying competition in the next frontier of mobile innovation.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is expected to be officially unveiled before the end of October, with pre-orders likely opening shortly after.
