Sonos app 'disappears' from iOS, iPadOS and Mac

The Sonos app appears to have crashed on iOS, iPadOS and Mac.

The tech giant has confirmed its app is temporarily unavailable for all three platforms in Apple's App Store.

In a status update, Sonos said: "We have identified a problem with the Sonos App availability in the iOS / Mac App Stores and are working on a solution.

"You may experience issues downloading or updating the Sonos app from the App Store until this issue is resolved."

On the company's status page, everything has a green tick next to it besides the Sonos Account.

The app has been unavailable for several hours, while the cause is yet to be confirmed, but it's clear the team is working on a fix to restore the service to iOS and Mac users as soon as possible

Thankfully for users on Apple devices, it appears to be an outage rather than a case of the app being permanently deleted, as it's available on all other platforms.

However, the Mac app will actually be disappearing for good at some point in the near future.

The Sonos app for Mac isn't built for Apple Silicon and there are no plans for it to be adapted, with all desktop users shifted to its web interface instead.
