Inventors create tiny palm-sized drone

Inventors have created a tiny drone that can fit in the palm of your hand.

The team behind Micro Drone 3.0 wanted to create a small device, which was capable of doing the same things a larger one was but on a much smaller scale.

Writing on their website, they shared: "This drone is small but quick flying. It is capable of reaching speeds of up to 45mph, equivalent to 20 metres per second, and can also reach a distance of up to 152 metres from the user (please note: without a permit, you are only allowed to reach a vertical height of 122 metres). The microSD card slot allows you to record your flight, or photograph the area, at the touch of a button. The three speed settings allow people of all flying experience to enjoy flying without worry.

"This drone comes with a high definition camera that gives you a maximum video recording resolution of 1280 x 720p at 25 frames per second (fps). This gives you a great looking picture as you soar through the skies, without missing a thing. For still photography, the camera comes with a one megapixel image sensor, which gives you the capability of good quality shots for those sweeping landscapes."

The Micro Drone flies upside down and has a magnetic modular design to allow for easy maintenance. It can fly at three different speeds, to suit all abilities, and has sensor-assisted flying.

The Micro Drone 3.0 starts at £104, but for an additional amount, you can get the combo pack, which comes complete with a 120 Degree Wide Lens Camera Module.
