New agrotourism hotel to open in Mallorca

A new agritourism hotel is opening in Mallorca.

The Zafiro Group will open Son Sabater by Zafiro - which is located at the foot of the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site - in June, offering 12 rooms and three stunning villas, as well as a garden, indoor and outdoor pools and an a la carte restaurant that will open to the public.

The property - which dates back to the 16th century - will mark the opening of the Zafirdo Boutique Collection, with both Son Sabater and Can Ribera by Zafira focusing on "slow living" in a very rural setting.

Antonia Plomer, CEO of the Zafiro Group, said in a statement: “We invite travellers to discover a new kind of hospitality that celebrates a connection with the surrounding nature and rural authenticity. This agrotourism hotel is an incomparable destination for travellers seeking a life-enriching experience in the heart of Mallorca."

To further immerse themselves in rural life, guests at the hotel will be able to book various experiences including hiking routes through the forest and slower-paced walks through the organic gardens.

The grounds of the resort will include responsible farming activities such as a self-contained water supply to tend to the four-hectare Balearic oak-tree forest, carob-tree plantation and wide range of native species of flora.
