The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has revealed new data which shows how Germany is emerging as a global leader in 2025.
Julia Simpson, WTTC President and CEO, said in a statement: "This is a historic year for German tourism.
"Breaking records in every key area — international and domestic spending, GDP contribution, and employment — is a remarkable achievement.
"It reflects a sector that is not just recovering, but returning with strength. Germany is once again a global tourism powerhouse — and this momentum must be maintained through smart investment and bold strategy."
According to the WTTC's Ecnomic Impact Research report, international visitor spending in the European country is expected to hit €57 billion this year, which would be the highest level on record.
The tourism sector is estimated to contribute a total of €499 billion to Germany's GDP, while domestic tourism spending should hit new heights of €425 billion.
The tourism boom is helping employment too, with the sector projected to support 6.5 million jobs.
Germany has been able to do this while still prioritising sustainability, ensuring that tourism development doesn't have to come at the cost of the environment.
Meanwhile, the country manages to offer a range of experiences, ranging from nature adventures and wellness retreats to world class events and city breaks.
Germany has also managed to stay in line with wider economic goals, with the tourism work falling under the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).
