TTG’s flagship awards ceremony, recognised the organisation for its standout marketing and sustainability work in one of the travel industry’s most competitive categories.
The annual event brought together travel agents, tour operators, suppliers and tourism leaders from across the UK and Visit Malta took home the trophy following what judges described as a year of impressive results and creative campaigns.
The award highlights Visit Malta’s continued success in positioning the UK as the island’s most important inbound tourism market. It also reflects the tourist board’s long-term strategy to balance destination growth with sustainability and inclusivity.
Judges said: "Comprehensive and imaginative marketing campaigns to engage both consumers and trade partners have delivered excellent results, while also putting considerable focus on responsible travel. It’s clear the principals of sustainable and inclusive tourism are at the heart of Visit Malta’s strategy."
The accolade marks a major milestone for the organisation, which has consistently worked to strengthen its partnerships within the UK travel trade while promoting Malta’s cultural heritage, gastronomy and year-round appeal.
Tolene Van der Merwe, Director of Visit Malta for the UK and Ireland, said: "This award is a testament to the unwavering support of the industry and the extraordinary Visit Malta UK team who work tirelessly to make this possible. Their dedication and passion have played a pivotal role in securing this prestigious award, and we are immensely proud of their accomplishments."
Visit Malta’s marketing campaigns over the past year have focused on showcasing the destination’s blend of history, nature and local experiences, while promoting its credentials as a sustainable and accessible holiday choice. The tourist board has also expanded its partnerships with airlines and tour operators, ensuring wider access from key UK airports.
The recognition at the TTG Awards cements Malta’s growing profile within the UK market and signals continued investment in responsible tourism as the island looks to strengthen its visitor numbers in 2026.
